Reaction Kettles

Reaction Kettles

Typically made from borosilicate glass, which is more resistant to thermal shock than regular glass and is less subject to thermal stress, reaction kettles are used to contain reactant substances while offering a clear view of the effects in process. Because of their strong resistance to temperatures, reaction kettles do not fracture during autoclaving sterilization. Reaction kettles feature wide mouths for easy access to their interior, while flat-top edged kettles can be used with certain lids to provide a leak-proof seal. Reaction kettles usually come with covers that have openings to accept three small standard taper joints and one larger standard taper joint. Quick assembly with funnels, stirrers and condensers is possible with interchangeable standard taper joints.
