Respiratory Systems Hoods and Helmets
Respiratory Systems Hoods and Helmets
Powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) and supplied-air respirator (SAR) hoods completely cover the head and neck and may also cover portions of the shoulders and torso. When used in conjunction with an approved air source, hoods are designed to allow clean air to be directed to the user while protecting against various respiratory hazards (particulates, gases, and vapors).
Helmets offer a rigid respiratory inlet covering that also provides head protection against impact and penetration. Hoods and helmets are used in a wide variety of industries including assembly, mechanical, painting, cleaning, sanding, manufacturing, and healthcare.
Loose-fitting hoods and helmets do not require fit testing. Regulatory compliance details can be obtained at the individual product level.
