The Dynabeads Streptavidin Trial Kit contains four different streptavidin-coated Dynabeads products making it more convenient to test out which of the beads perform best in a specific application. The kit contains 1 mL each of Dynabeads M-280 Streptavidin, Dynabeads M-270 Streptavidin, Dynabeads MyOne Streptavidin C1, and Dynabeads MyOne Streptavidin T1. The streptavidin-coated Dynabeads magnetic beads are monosized (1 or 2.8 ÎĽm in diameter depending on the product), monodispersed, and superparamagnetic. The products are intended for the isolation and handling of biotinylated nucleic acids, antibodies, and other biotinylated ligands.

Consistency and reproducibility The monolayer of streptavidin leaves most of the biotin-binding sites available for the binding of free biotin and biotinylated ligands. The specific and defined surface allows for efficient capture, separation, and downstream handling. In addition, the low size distribution (<5%) of the monosized beads and the streptavidin monolayer help ensure negligible leakage, giving batch consistency and reproducibility of results.
