Description
The LanthaScreen™ Eu Kinase Binding Assay is a TR-FRET assay that lets you measure inhibitor binding to non-activated kinases, perform simple off-rate measurements and makes simple the study of type III (allosteric) inhibitors.
The LanthatScreen™ Eu Kinase Binding Assay is easy to optimize and run. The assay uses a simple mix-and-read format with a single one-hour incubation and no development steps. Simultaneous binding of an Alexa Fluor™ conjugate or tracer” to a tagged kinase is detected by addition of a europium-labeled anti-tag antibody, in this case anti-GST. Simultaneous binding of the tracer and antibody to the kinase results in a high degree of fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET), while displacement of the tracer with a kinase inhibitor results in a loss of FRET.
- Compatible and validated with the LanthaScreen™ Eu Kinase Binding Assay
- Expressed in insect cells
- GST tagged for use with Eu-labeled GST antibody
- No special measures were taken to activate this kinase
TGFBR2 for the LanthaScreen Kinase Binding Assay
Transforming Growth Factor, beta receptor 2 (TGFBR2) is a member of the TGF-beta family of receptor Serine/Threonine kinases. It is involved in the regulation of cell proliferation. (TGFBR2 Aliases: AAT3, FAA3, MFS2, RIIC, LDS1B, LDS2B, TAAD2, TGFR-2, TGFbeta-RII).
This insect cell-expressed recombinant fusion protein of the TGFBR2 catalytic domain and GST tag has been validated in the LanthaScreen™ Eu Kinase Binding Assay with the Tracer 236 and Eu-labeled GST Antibody reagents.
