The EVOS M3000 Imaging System is a fully integrated digital inverted benchtop microscope for two-color fluorescence, transmitted light, phase contrast, and color imaging. It is excellent for routine cell/tissue culture imaging applications. This system combines an easy user interface with powerful machine learning capabilities that allow users to quickly verify cell appearance, quality, and growth in seconds.

The EVOS M3000 offers you these important advantages:

  • Easy installation—no maintenance, assembly, alignment, or calibration
  • Automated real-time confluency analysis—includes pre-trained machine learning algorithm that can report cell confluency in the field of view at any time. As vessel is moved, confluency value automatically updates (in under a second on average).
  • User-defined two-color fluorescence—with addition of EVOS light cubes, two fluorescence channels can be acquired
  • Space-saving design—at 12 x 19 x 13 in. (W x D x H), system fits easily on lab bench or in cell culture hood
  • Network-capable—can be connected to local wireless network for seamless data transfer to OneDrive™ or Thermo Fisher Connect accounts. Alternatively, system offers on-board storage or export to USB.
  • Flexibility—choose from wide selection of EVOS-compatible objectives (1.25–60X) to best fit application and image quality needs

Real-time confluency analysis

Pre-trained using multiple common cell lines, the confluency tool automatically reports the confluency of the culture as it is moved over the stage in real-time. This removes inconsistency across multiple users and helps save time and energy compared to manual estimation.

Fully integrated imaging system

The EVOS M3000 Imaging System has a high-quality 10.3-inch LCD touchscreen display. The onboard computer and SSD (128 GB) are capable of processing and storing hours-worth of images in a single session or across multiple sessions. It contains a highly sensitive color CMOS camera (2,064 x 1,536-pixel resolution, 3.2 megapixels) for capturing high-quality 8-bit monochrome or color images in TIFF, PNG, and JPG formats, in addition to video capture in MP4 format. Adjust the contrast and saturation of images post-acquisition to produce stunning publication-ready images.

Versatile and highly configurable

With a four-position objective turret and the ability to acquire images in two fluorescence channels, transmitted light, phase contrast, and color, the system can be easily configured to help meet your needs. Choose from our broad range of high-quality long-working-distance and coverslip-corrected objectives for use with plastic vessels or glass sides. This system supports 1.25X to 60X magnification with achromat, fluorite, or apochromat correction, together with over a dozen LED light cubes. Image your cells the way you want to see them.

Easy to use and reliable

The EVOS M3000 Imaging System offers the simplicity of plug-and-play. It requires no warm-up or cool-down periods, allowing you to capture images quickly. The touchscreen display works with nitrile gloves, but the system also supports mouse and keyboard via USB connection. The EVOS M3000 is cleanroom compatible, capable of undergoing standard disinfection protocols including UV and hydrogen peroxide. Place the unit directly in a cell culture hood for rapid analysis of culture status and quality. An optional mechanical stage (Cat. No. AMEP5011) can be installed on the fixed stage for easier manipulation of vessels.
